Chopping Samples
Sometimes you can get certain sounds out by sampling only the right or left stereo channel depending on how it was mixed sample these in mono.and sometimes you just have to re-create the melody or soind you ewant if there is no break. -

Or in the track mutes screen you can just hold down rec and playstart let the sequence go all the way around without doing anything right?and if you just wanna change the recorded mutes do so after starting the recording function like regular.Correct? -

drum solo techniques on mpc/trigger finger/etc
Practice and assign morew than one sound to a pad so that when you hit them at different velocities it'll trigger different sounds.not sure if you can do that on yours but on the 2500 you can assign up to four sounds to one pad with different triggering velocities. -
