    i been sampling soul the most but thats only cause thats what has been available.. Jazz, and rock (70s) have some sick sounds to be had. its all about taking sounds from everywhere

    yea definately good look on the videos, man. it's cool to see dilla in his element. and i wanna have a studio like that . it makes me laugh how they all just rantin and dilla off making a beat, doing his own thing, pretty much the way i imagined it.

    if you don't have ideas of stuff to look for then check out www.pandora.com. just type in the type people you like to sample and it give you previews of tunes by similar artists. then i guess you gotta use that link Lazy eyes put up.

    Yeah, i found out what the sample was. its the same song that Magic Stick samples, called "it be's that way sometimes" by joe simon. I want use that loop real bad but i cant jack some1 like that... at most i'd have to do some real clever chopping..ahh bollox

    Yeah, that samples was serious. its a shame that he put that bass on it (although that was probably just for the video). Man it almost makes me search for that sample and make it over. With a decent bassline and less heatmaker toms that could be some fire.
