well the cost can really range a lot - depends on what you are looking for...if it's something real simple it shouldnt cost that much...maybe a few hundred by a professional independant person if you search around...you can probably find places that charge by the project so you know how much it...- fiz

you gotta find local record shops with big bargain bins, that's where i find a lot of good stuff...just sit there and sift through everything.....you can take an armfull of records home for a cheap price...just look up "record stores" in the yellow pages and make a weekend of it, just going from... -

i think your second idea is a dope one - give everyone the pieces and see what they make out of it - it can be samples, drum sounds, whatever, but you have to only use what's provided though you can flip it however you want, and alter it - but it would be really cool to see what people come up... -

i was wondering about this too - i need to get some monitors - how would i hook it up to monitors so i can hear what im working on in Cool Edit Pro? do i just line out to an amp and hook the monitors to the amp? -

hell yea it's a part of hip hop. when you are at a party and outside by the keg or walking down the street or whatever, you're not gonna whip out an mpc...you don't need any equipment except a beatboxer and mc...aka beats and lyrics...there's been tons of fun nights with just that shit....- fiz
