Beat 1 has a nice UK Grime feel to it, tho in my opinion needs work to get glued together. Beat 2 sounds good, but the sample is overly distorted for my taste, and in some parts the elements are all over the place without a musical anchor. Totally! You can map fader position and turntable speed and direction to stuff like color change, rotation, zoom, clip change, etc in those VJ Software's. Even if you put some work in it and install some plugins yourself and configure em you can do that with some of the free VJ Sofware's or free... -

Yeh as far as I remember Traktor had that or was a plugin for Max for Live, where you could edit the fader, don't remember if you could edit the direction of the vinyl (the digital file) . Other use peeps be giving a Midi Turntable is controlling visuals. There is where it gets really crazy... -

I dig this. The sample fits perfectly. I like it like this, what I would have changed is the bass. I would have added an Upright Bass or the sort to keep the vibe and glue it all together.- Giam

lol I hear ya. The MPCs are great Midi Sequencers. There are tons of great deals in Craigslist and the like about old Midi Modules, E-Mu, Roland, etc, for virtually nothing. And you get TONS of cool and old school sounds. I'm always on the lookout for those. Hook em up to the MPC and instant... -

No, I'm using Akai OS on the 1000. The 500 is a cool machine, the OS makes it super easy and super fast to program "natural sounding drums". Stepping up the tuning with velocity and stuff like that. I also set up the attack and decay to mimic "real drums". I don't like the swing on it tho. And...- Giam
