    anyone know a SIMPLE and COST EFFICIENT way to reduce bit rates? especially for drums and other samples? i'm looking for that raw sound that comes from them OLD mpc's...u know....like the mpc 60II, etc. will any software do this for me or at least emulate the sound closely? AND...any FREE...

    keep in mind that if you're puttin' your file names in disk and will be using it in a pc...keep your file name to 8 charaters. otherwise, parts of the file name can be chopped and this can lead to all types of headaches...........

    question......... i have the mpc2000xl. if i have 4 different programs i'm using for a specific file/sequence....then i save it. will the mpc editor only recognize one program at a time or all four of them i did for a particular beat? hope that's clear.

    -mpc 2000xl (scsi zip and cd-rom & 32 mb memory) -proteus 2000 sound module -behringer eurorack mx 2004a -event 20/20 bas monitors -technics 1200 -cool edit pro -tons of samples as was said pointed out earlier...it's not what equipment u got, but how u use it.
