Hahaha.. What a gimmick! lol.. They made a black envy, added a pair of 'the beats' headphones with the purchase and put ' the beats ' logo on it.. You can get the regular HP 15" Envy with the same specs and put 'the beats' sticker on it and save some cheese!! You'll just need the to buy...

Anybody produce full-time?

I do both, but lateley I've been so busy makin beats that im gonna be full-time real soon. Doing both is a real pain in the ass...and has made me a Insomniac.. but I've already landed work with Upstairs Records Inc, NEXT, SHA MONEY XL, hung out in the studio with Kay Gee(Naughty by Nature)...

Ya man! I've been makin some progress.. Def Jam Flew my production team out there to work with this R&B Group called 'Elite'. I also was doing work for R&B Group NEXT. While we were there, That Group ' Elite ' went and did songs with Jazze Pha so I cruised along. I was out there for 4 days...

Korg Micro-X

I just picked up a Korg Micro-X. This thing is a great piece of gear!! I use it when traveling with the laptop as a controller/module, then back at the lab I use it as a sound module. The little thing packs a punch plus has some Bad Ass sounds a'la Triton.... This is a Good Buy!

Timbaland uses Reason !!

If anybody owns a sample CD called "DOWNTOWN STRINGS" by PowerFX. All of those Loops and Strings are from That Sample CD. I believe Propellerheads just got a licsense from them and created a refill with the Best takes off of them. Timbo Probably owns that CD and sampled it into his ASR or...

finally copped a new keyboard controller

Congrats! Korg makes some nice stuff. I have the KONTROL 49 with the padKONTROL and MAN what a combo for REASON.

Tubes Just replace your Tubes with The Electro Harmonix Russian tubes and your good to go. I use the Presonus Tube with the EH tubes. I run Bass syths and stuff to it and it definatley puts some Stank on it!

can someone please school me on the MINIMOOG?

Listen to Parliament/Funkadelic Bernie Worell used the Moog extensively on those albums...Flashlight, Bop Gun, Etc, Etc. Bernie worell uses the Moog til this day. Also Roger Troutman used the MiniMoog for his talkbox on all the Zapp Classic, along with the Leads and basses.
