    I'd get a MPC2000xl with the 8 extra outs, combine them with a 8-channel mixer and a nice recording setup on a computer with wavleab or whateva and you can make nice beats, train your rythm (mpc) mix (mixer) and master (wavelab)

    -I use MPC for producing and pc for editing/recording -computer and MPC can go hand in hand (midi!) -a mpc is a must have! (joke) --> but a MPC is good to have ;)

    there is no such thing as a average beat-machine! You can choose between software-production or hardware-production, both is expensive.... Software Programms like fruityLoops cot arround 400$ (?) and things like an MPC cost like 1000$ (used)
