I'm never really really finished a beat until somebody buys it. Then I MIGHT leave it alone. I'm never satisfied. I'm learning to let them be whatever they are. I'll usually just need like 3 days with about 3 hours a day to get something I can deem worthy.
That's mainly why I joined this site. Most of the people I know can give an opinion on if they like it or not but no real advice on how to make it better. I mostly look for feedback on my mixes anyway since music is really about personal taste. I know better than to try to please everybody on...
U can assign the pads from the unit or with the software that comes with it. They are just like the MPC pads. The only difference is they unit isn't as heavy and weighted down so it not feel as solid when you really start pounding on them.
It sounds like u saved the whole CD as one session. Is there an advantage of bouncing a whole CD to one track if that's what ur doing? I'm just curious why you don't bounce individual songs?
i believe it to an extent. the book "new world order" will make u ready to fight. i'd rather make money off these beats though and have some real power.
i think it's all about what you're comfortable with. when i first went from a dr 202 to an MPC i'd always go back and make beats on the 202 while i was still learning the MPC because i was comfortable with the 202. i knew it inside and out so i could manipulate it easily. when i got into the MPC...
