    it was sample based. just one loop thru the entire beat. tried to change it up quite a bit. theres quite a lot of beats on your soundclick. which track would best describe your own sound ?

    love the flip Dac, its the bassline that does it....someone can really go hard over that .... i think the kanye flip utilises the bass from the sample too and a lot of the intro, its really a sik track, much slower tempo

    I initially adjusted the whole sample via the time stretching facility. Then realize I wanted to chop it up, but when I went to edit the sample, it would only let me edit the original acapella from the step sequencer in Edison. I then restretched the acapella chops after they were edited ....

    Yeh that was the thing I had trouble with, dragged the acapella into FL Studio, figured out the tempo then timestretched it the project tempo, then moved the vocals around , the second verse sounded quicker than the first, so wasn't really sure how I needed to sort that out :s

    @ dacalion - thanks for the feedback, really helpful, i didnt really think of the structure of the song so will revisit that to sort it out. just wanted to try and keep the energy up throughout the song. i noticed its quite difficult to produce a song whilst thinking of how a rapper would fit...
