Tracking Out Beats
lower your sample rate ... try 24 bit/ 44.1khz .... with files sizes that big your probably doing 24/96 or 24/192 ... it doesnt make a real diifrence quality-wise although some audio nerds will tell you diffrent. 97 for one track mb is big .. after i consolidate most of my pro tools tools mixes... -

Being an assistant/gofer for an artist or producer
its dumb easy to intern at a label .. but its harder to intern/ work for a specific artist or producer. I would try sending a cover letter and resume to the mangement company that the artist work under. -

use the time compression expansion tool .. better yet .. if u have 7.4 , use the elastic time thingy .. that will make ur tempo able to go to 150. lay out your mix the way u want it, then export each song by itself .. just move the markers, export, move the markers, export..etc... then just make... -

keyboard makes thing so much easier .... i would def recomend having one .. .. i use my keys more in my beat making process than the mp pads by far... i dont know why but ..... i prefer to play my chops out over the keys rather tha the pads... esp if i have more than 16 chops cuz otherwise u... -
