Nice beat! Has that J-Dilla filtered bassline vibe combined with DJ Premier drums. The snare could've used a lil reverb, it was sounding a lil too dry. Good mix and great beat overall!- VVS

I'd say melody. I'm always learning new drum sequencing techniques to help make my drum patterns sound less robotic and over-quantinized. The trap sound is mostly tweaking the hi-hats and percussion sounds to give them that "bounce". I looked up a lot of YouTube videos on how to achieve that...- VVS

New kid on the block
The first MPC I tried was the 1000. I just wasn't able to get a fast workflow going and I felt the learning curve was too steep and not worth the time I would have to invest to master it. No disrespect to the MPC and ASR-10 as both machines created a lot of hit records back in the days...just...- VVS

Thank you for the feedback! I narrowed the stereo image width of the strings to let the percussion shine through. I usually never apply reverb to drum kicks but I'll experiment with that.- VVS
