big time producers hiring musicians to reproduce sequences
What's your opinion on that ? I know Preemo likes to do that .... It's really useful when you can't eliminate unwanted elements in a sample by filtering.. but is this still sampling ? peace, PHIL- DJ Excellence

My vote goes to : 1. Ahmad Jamal : his music is just awesome , very soulful .... 2.Herbie Hancok : very versatile , comfortable with both the grand piano and synthesizers. Also a very intelligent man , with an engineering degree : he has even built several unique synthesizers !!! 3...- DJ Excellence

Be careful about the status of the record you want to sample (if you want to use your beats in commercial work) First of all check if the record passes into public domain , basically it goes like that: DATE OF WORK PROTECTED FROM TERM Created 1-1-78 or after When work is fixed in...- DJ Excellence

Make sure you get at least 4 usb slots, You may also need them for non-music peripherals such as a mouse,qwerty/azerty keyboard ,printer,modem etc ... so 4 is a minimum ... peace, PHIL- DJ Excellence

I sample everything : jazz, funk, film music, rock, blues,classical,opera, traditional arabian, far eastern music etc ... my advice to aspiring sample producers is to be open-minded.......... anything can sound "hip hop" , don't limit yourself to jazz and funk ... peace, PHIL- DJ Excellence
