Benjamins Ballad - Start using reverb and delay on your sounds, they sound very dry and pretty poor quality patches, they sound like stock sounds. What motivates you to keep making beats?
I have a reputation to maintain. I do get bored quick these days though, especially when not sampling. Im going to start composing some layered loops without drums, then chop them up as if Ive sampled it. My composed stuff has a certain sound that Im unhappy with. working on a project where I'm using mostly sounds from a a collection of rare/vintage synths (Martyn Ware NIC)
#1 Not a fan of the drums and some of the sounds jump out a bit too far in the mix, but that said I can appreciate the work that has gone into this, the use of distortion and the experimentation that Im hearing is good to hear. #2 Not really feeling this one, the sounds seem a bit dissonant...- 2GooD Productions
