i wanted to feel the effects of that wormwood so bad when i tried it taht i think i forced myself to see some shit, but really didn't. good luck tho! let me know how it turns out
yeah i've done it a few times. i tried a few different kinds and don't get me wrong, they get you FUCKED up. but for the most part you don't hallucinate with it anymore. there's only a few brands out of hundreds that still use wormwood, and i think its illegal to use in all but like two or...
first shit i ever used was "virtual drummer" mad long ago. i think it was free on my computer. it was bootleg. i got over that real quick tho and started using reason. but i got a mv 8000 that i got off ebay that should be gettin here any day now!!!
i know you can do it on reason by hooking up a delay effect and automating whichever drum you want to have that effect for whatever amount of time. then just fade out by automating the master level.
gat damnit! i've been in a creative slump recently. I sit down to make some beats and nothing seems to come out right. I know i'm not the only one this happens to. what to yall do to get over this. share your tricks. PLEASE!
there's still a couple of beats that get me every time i listen to em. can't help but just be in awe. and they're not mad complex either -- ATLiens, shook ones, hip hop by dead prez. those are just a few of the ones i GOTTA listen to when i'm flyin high
anybody seen or heard of this? I heard its dope but can't find it near me in nyc. anybody know where i can find a copy to watch? anybody got any reviews?
anybody out there an expert on this thing? not how to use it, but how good it really is. I've been researching different samplers for a while but haven't been able to make a solid decision on what i've read. everybody says something different. I know it depends a lot on what you want to do...
i think the matrix is real hard to use to for making melodies. its too tedious and my shit never comes out that well on it. I use it only if i want to add in certain notes or effects, but never for making a whole melody really
symphony rezuest
yo i'd be real interested in hearin that symphony. you got a link to it? i'm not much for writing music myself, but i wish i was and hopefully one day i will. peace
i'm usin acid right now to cut up samples for my beats. its fine for doin that, but can you use it to layer lyrics on top as well. i've never recorded anybody's lyrics onto a beat of mine yet, but is this the way to do it, or is there a better way.
yeah, that's a great interview. i really enjoyed it. just curious, how many here get their samples cleared? how do you do that? and how many people copyright their songs? how do you do that too? do you always get clearance before you do that?
that doesn't make sense. you get a stamp from the post office on the package you received? how do they know your beats were in that package. or you just don't open it and keep it sealed up?
