    Moody Blues is the bomb. Masta Ace's "Dear Diary" sampled the moody blues song of the same name. There's also some good classical orchestra bits on the "Days of future passed" record that I'm suprised no one has really used before.

    You can pull a sample out of nearly anything if you have the ear for it. One of my best beats was based on a Gene Pitney record I almost discarded.

    J Dilla Kit

    There's some sick sounds on there. I'd recommend using them as a starting point for a beat and work from there - transform them, layer, make them your own. I used a dilla kit when I first started making tracks.

    yeah ill sample from anything really. Mostly i'll stick to vinyl but if I find something else that sounds good and no one else has used it... Before I got my turntable and started sampling records I started out with simple loops off the internet, and then progressed from there with chopping...
