Yes you succeeded, really fucking dope beatHere my beat of the week. I try to get a grittier sound to enter the beat battles at one point. Not sure if I succeeded.

my 2nd beat tape in my JECHO rebrand. ~7mins 8 beats, feel free to skip through, welcome any and all feedbackwill return
This time I like transitions too.first beat - great - I'd like more presence / volume of guitar those before 1:22 I mean
This is very cool. In terms of composition, I don't think there's a need to change anything. Creatively, everything is very effective. However, in the mix, not always, but sometimes the drums are too prominent, and everything else is too much in the background and when this happens (and it doesn't happen all the time) it isn't very nice imho.here same for voices and guitar, drums too loud - it is only the mixing, the beat are absolutely cool. This time I like transitions too.
Had to trim a section to make it work (distorted bass). Hence the "glitch".check this out - wondering how did @DJ Excellence come to this that kind of glitch at 1:44 don't know if it was wanted, for sure it's lovely!
Every intrument have its place in the spectrum. Great layering. The mix so transparent is very pleasing. And the bass is amazing.
Another dramatic beat, not very usual from you, isn't It? The sound quality again excellent. Here you have pushed more into that feel and to me this is more good than the previous, more creative, more intense, more memorable.
This one, not for me. I'm sure I'd love the instrumental, I just don't like the vocals.

@JECHO fucking sick, the drums are banging, and it oozes originality. I'm not a rock guy but I like what you are doing here
@DJ Excellence really dope remix, glad you came back man, you used to always be a tough opponent, and now you have found your own style you are even tougher. Mad respect, you get better with every new beat.
@Kane the MOD talking of people coming back, glad you did, I would be worried about battling you with the last couple beats you have dropped. You got that dark hard shit on lock right now bro.
@attila this beat is fucking amazing, its a fucking vibe and I love it.
my latest attempt at trying to compose something with a darker edge, I think I'm slowly getting there, although not quite where I want to be yet.
I need to find the right sounds, its a lot easier when sampling as the sample dictates the vibe, but when composing I need to find the right synths and sounds for it. I'm slowly getting there, will take some time. I don't want to just go dark, I need to go dark with the right battle energy, motherfuckers around here are becoming a real tough challenge.Oh, that sound entering at 1:10!!! You know what? The beat is nice, wisely mixed and mastered, structure is ok, arrangement, everything right, you know how to do a beat... But if you are going dark, you could dive more into darkness. Don't fear to be extreme.
You're right, about synths and about motherfuckers. I already found them tough, coming late.I need to find the right sounds, its a lot easier when sampling as the sample dictates the vibe, but when composing I need to find the right synths and sounds for it. I'm slowly getting there, will take some time. I don't want to just go dark, I need to go dark with the right battle energy, motherfuckers around here are becoming a real tough challenge.
