I agree, it was a hard one to flip, when I heard it on my phone I thought it was going to be easy, but no. Its why I ended up just ripping the vocal and just using that for the hook. Mines not exactly a flip tbh, more composed than anything else.
Your chops came together nicely, I think you did well given what you had to work with, I feel like the drums are a little underwhelming for my tastes though. I think a thicker kick would sound good, but thats just me.

thanks man and yes chopping is my favourite thing to do and yes my drums on a diet rn, finally rediscovered my limiter so that should hellp in the future
