*Vocal Track Allowed?: NO
**Vocal Snippets Allowed?: YES

===========
* VOCAL TRACK ALLOWED? This means you can have a full vocal track with your beat (acapella, for example).
** VOCAL SNIPPETS ALLOWED? This means you can have vocal snippets in your beat (very short vocal parts, for example). This is where you can also have an intro with talking (like from a movie).

Voting

If you are competing, you will be able to vote but not for yourself. DO NOT TRY TO CHEAT! I will be watching for cheaters. This means you cannot sign up under different names or get your friends and family to sign up either. If you are caught cheating you could be banned.

Voting Criteria

You can use whatever sounds you want, samples, synths, just remember to read the rules for the rest of the restrictions. What the judges will be looking for is originality, creativity, mixing skills and overall dopeness!

Beats

All the beats will now be displayed in a random order and without any names. All you will see is: Beat #001, Beat #002, etc. This is so that there is no favoritism when voting.

Rules

If you're not sure about the rules, read this thread.

If you have any comments, suggestions, or questions about the competition, please post them in here.

Alright, where do I start,

I guest first, congrats lil bro.

Great sample choice, feel like it's just a winning sample by default - where you get it from?
But what I really liked were these overly flabby drums - this was in my top 3 (was actually the first beat I heard and I said "this is my winner already, I'm judging everything against this")

I voted for @Bandia Gotach = the main things I loved; the spooky main background sounds, painted a fucking perfect backdrop, sonically too. Big drums, but specifically that one beautifully late kick drum... make my soul drool. Going to backwards engineer that shit to check the timing. Exquisite

@Earsblower - sorry, absolute fucking heresy that this beat isn't in top 3; genuinely think this was possibly the best beat in the battle, Only thing missing is a vocal. It was one of several tracks I kinda 'toplined' to myself. Probably should have got my vote, but Bandia's big drums, spooky vibe and late kick bribed me.

To other observations...

@Bluebox really cool beat, musically. Got a solid vibe to it - if this had a great mix, probably be one of the 'coolest' beats on this battle. (i actually thought @feswaq beat was yours 'cause of the arcade vibes)

@LUNACYBEE ... brav....

:cautious: I was determined to find out who was the culprit of this. Your name and beat title is in full caps, and so is your mastering limiter. Wtf?

@oninkaf gave me Jay Z 'feelin it' vibes. Really laid back nice beat, great vocal chop too

@Jimulacrum - real interesting beat, bro. probably too 'intelligent' this time for the battle victory. I don't wanna call this your 'best' beat, cause they all really cool, but felt like something different from you in a good way. Not that it needs to be different cause the previous stuff cool too - didn't recognise your beat this time, when I saw your comment i was curious to find out which was yours

@PhxAZTracMaster - cool beat, it wants a vocal. i was toplining this to myself too when listening

great work illienzzzZZ

Well let me start by saying that I agree... I am not the type of person that will cry or call for injustice and I mostly accept all as it is but yeah... Really thought I would AT LEAST place top 5... Sum ppl are smoking some good ass shit I think (or maybe I am?)

Congrats on the W @Armani , it was good but I think @crog85 must have put a spell on me cause for the 2nd battle in a row I voted him.

Now for the top 5 itself, I gotta say im shocked because that's clearly not the one I was expecting... Enough said , on to the next !

I only used 3 decks for this one: drums (two kicks, snare, open and closed hats, loud echoey tap), bass, and a ragtime-y sample called "Foot Warmer" from like 1922. Kept the sampling cuts shorter (and less recognizable as the original music) and let the drums and bass stick out a little more.

Most of the beats I've made, I've been happy with, but I put so much energy into filling the space that there's no room for, y'know, vocals, anywhere. Trying to do more of that now.

Thanks for the feedback, man.

Man I gotta say that there's a huge level between what I heard of you the past months VS this one, great great progression ! Keep going man you are golden !

I did NOT deserve to win this one.

@crog85 hard as FUCK. you do good beats a lot which can get boring, but this one has real soul to it. genuinely thought you'd win.
@Rye Mann got my vote. such lazy drums, love it. the vibe got me. imagine schoolboy on this...
@oninkaf u were my 2nd choice for voting. I had never seen anyone achieve that slow-neptunes dead presidents vibe like u just did. Really loved it.
@Iron Keys no bs, one of my favorite beats from you. maybe better than all ur battle that stuff. I love that it actually has character. that weird lead instrument is killing it. and the reverb, especially on the percs... REAL atmosphere. but I mean your mixes & production & consistency &... is always on point; this one actually is a unique yet still groovy beat. absolute W imo.
@Bluebox awesome to see u on ur first punchfest. would defo fw seein u in more.

the rest were cockshit.

(joke obviously)
